Hi pdamsten, that’s a great job you did!

I encounter a little problem with the beautiful photobox function.
The order of photo’s can be edited/changed when [gallery link="file" ids="photo1,photo2,etc"] is used.
However, as soon as I change the code to [fsg_photobox include=”photo1,photo2,etc”], the changed order is lost.

I have been long experimenting with it and noticed that as soon ids is changed to include, the original order how the images are uploaded to wordpress is maintained.

So far my only solution to use the beautiful photobox presentation with an order of images as I want, is to start with a new upload of images in prefered order.

Is there a way, using photobox, to change the order afterwards?
    Thank you very much.

  • RTFM ??

    fsg_photobox keyword

Adds random photobox to the page. eg. [fsg_photobox include=”244, 243,242,241,208,207,206,205,204″ rows=”6″ cols=”4″] See live example here.

Try refreshing demo to see that it really is random.

Hi weksiu, thank you, but don’t judge too quick. People like me may not seem too bright but I DID READ THE F MANUAL.

Anyway, what I described is that if you click an image in the beautiful photobox presentation, you get the slideshow. This slideshow has an order.
The thumbnails on the bottom show this order.

When using [gallery link="file" ids="photo1,photo2,etc"], this order can be changed.
But as soon as [fsg_photobox include=”photo1,photo2,etc”] is used, this changed order is lost, and the order how the images have been uploaded is maintained.

So, I would love to make a slideshow in an order I prefer, and start with the beautiful Photobox presentation.
The only solution for that so far (for my not so bright brain) seems to start with uploading the images in that prefered order.
That’s not very handy, is it?

    Thanx for your reaction.

I admit it’s not emphasized in the manual: fsg_photobox displays images in random order. In fact it changes with every refresh of the page, not every image may be shown and they may repeat. Took me a minute to figure that out too.

    Hope that helps ??

This order is what my above mentioned question is about.

I think we must wait for a response of someone like pdamsten.

That seems to be the case. I try to look at it at some point.

In 1.3.7 it defaults to include order and has order and orderby parameters.
