    Hi there,

We recently updated our site and noticed after updating, the previous orders had reverted back to the default WordPress ID as the Order number instead of the Custom Order number. However, after clicking into the Order, the Custom Order number along with all the customer and order details are resolved. This is primarily shown in the main “Orders” dashboard. See: https://gyazo.com/2b64903ba0d96e7deb0f684e1db29257

Is there any way to resolve this? Would the “Renumerate Orders Tool” fix it without changing the previously established orders?

Note that this appears to only be happening to previous Orders placed on the site. New Orders are working as intended.

Please let me know if there’s any further information needed.

    Thanks,

    Hi @nickiova,

To better assist you, could you please provide more details about the process you followed to update your site? Specifically, it would be helpful to know which method or tools you used for the update and if there were any specific changes or updates you made during the process.

Yes, you can use the “Renumerate Orders Tool” option. This tool allows you to renumber your orders, but please note that it will start from the first order of the site. In the PRO version, you will have the option to specify a specific order or date from which the renumeration process should begin.

However, I’d definitely like to work on the issue you are having in LITE plugin.

    >>However, after clicking into the Order, the Custom Order number along with all the customer and order details are resolved.

Do you mean that when you edit the order, it shows the correct Custom Order Number or the number is corrected immediately after updating the existing order?

    Do let me know.

    Hi @tychesoftwares,

    Thank you for your response.

It seems the issue was related to the server’s Object Caching. Turning this off on our server resolved the Order Numbering issues.

We discovered this as we had tested the updates on a Staging environment that didn’t have caching enabled and wasn’t having the same issues.

    Appreciate your follow up.
