    Every so often, the Order Number will be its Order ID and not be the next sequential number. The incorrect number is in the red box in screenshot below.

    Sorry about that,
    The order is manually created from the backend.

    The ‘incorrect’ number is the original post number.

    No problem! Just to clarify, when you mention the “original post number,” are you referring to the number assigned to the order when it was initially created manually?

    Correct. So if I hover over one of the numbers that are in screenshot, it will also give the original post number that WordPress assigns it automatically. The number in the red box is the originally assigned post number (ID).

    When orders are created manually (by using Woocommerce > Orders > Add new button) does it use the next sequential number according to the plugin or does it take the next WordPress post number (ID)?

    Thank you for bringing this to our attention and providing the additional information.

    When you create the order manually, it should use the next sequential number according to the plugin.

    There is a bug and I have replicated the issue and confirmed that manual orders are not following the sequential numbering set by the plugin.

    I’ve forwarded this to the development team so that they can fix this. I will get back to you as soon as I’ll have an update from them.
