    Hi –

    Order notifications enabled and settings fields filled. Have submitted a test order from a different device/email address (whilst logged in as admin).

    Nothing has happened! Was expecting some kind of alert.

    Could you perhaps provide a bit more explanation on how order notifications work?

    Hello,

    If everything has been configured properly then you should get an email regarding the purchase and also if you have enabled push notification then you will also get a push notification whenever a new order would be place in your store.

    In you case if its not working then go through these steps.

    1. Please recheck all the settings.
    2. Check your spam folder of the email, might be the email has been landed there. 3. Check all the emails are working on your server

    Order Notification was/is enabled.

    I am receiving emails OK (in fact 2 identical Food Order Notification emails each time an order is submitted), but no ‘push notification’ (which I presume should be a pop-up alert on the screen of the device I am logged into as an administrator – is that correct?)

    Please check whether your browser notification is enabled or not because due to that too sometimes the popup is blocked and you don’t receive any kind of notification. And you are receiving 2 identical emails; it might be because you might be using the same email address for test that you are already registered in as the admin.
    Kindly, check for those options and confirm.

    Assigned an SSL certificate to the site, which allowed me to ‘allow notifications’ for the site in Google Chrome. All working fine now, it seems : )
