    Hello,

    We are updating the status of the orders to completed automatically through the import of a csv file with WP All Import after processing the order.

    The import of the status update appears to be successful, because the order appears as “Completed.” But in the order notes the status changes are not updated and remain at “The status of the order changed from Pending payment to Processing” without updating to “the status of the order changed from Processing to Completed”.

    When the change to Completed is done manually, the corresponding note does appear automatically.

    Should this note appear automatically in any case when the order status changes?

    I’m not sure if this is something to resolve with the WP All Import plugin, although I’ve checked with them as well.

    Yes, when an order status changes, a note should be automatically added to the order notes detailing the change. However, when updating the order status via an import with the WP All Import plugin, the plugin might not trigger the function that adds the status change note.

    Although the order status may appear as “Completed,” it is possible that the WP All Import plugin doesn’t fully follow the same process as a manual update, hence the missing note.

    It’s great that you’ve already reached out to WP All Import, as they might have more insights into how their plugin handles status updates. Meanwhile, I would recommend trying the Customer/Order/Coupon CSV Import Suite plugin.
