Order note from customer not showing in order admin

The customer provided note will show up below the shipping address in the edit order admin area and is working fine for me.

Seeing the note in the emails and order confirmation pages is comforting because it means the note is persisting.

Can you run a plugin conflict check, there might be a plugin that alters how that view is shown.

Thanks Nadir – not having any luck with that so far. Have disabled plugins etc and am using storefront already, so bit of a mystery.

Are you possibly running something like WooCommerce Custom Orders Tables?

No, we’re not using WooCommerce Custom Orders Tables.

Probably only relevant plugins we’re running are:
Extra Product Sorting Options for WooCommerce
WooCommerce Stripe Gateway
Sequential Order Numbers for WooCommerce
WooCommerce Weight Based Shipping

..but no luck even with those disabled.

It is a child theme though, so maybe next thing is to check there’s nothing in the theme that might be interfering.

That sounds a good idea, once you set up a staging site with only WooCommerce and a default theme like Storefront (not a child theme) will you let us know if the issue with the customer note not appearing in the order admin page still exists?

If so, kindly share a copy of your site’s System Status so we can take a closer look. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

I’ve got 90% of the way to a clean install by using the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin to disable things and switched to Storefront directly rather than the child theme.

So only 3 plugins active but still no luck.

Just to check I’m looking in the right place for the order notes, would you be able to share a screenshot of the customer note in context on the order admin page?

The one Nadir sent was cropped to only show the actual note.

Hi @bob33

Thanks for sending the System Status Report.

I understand that you are not seeing the Order Notes filled up by the customer on the Order menu at the back end of your site.

I replicated this on my end: replacing the Cart and Checkout pages using WooCommerce Blocks following this guide.

Can you please provide any fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs?
