    Hi Marco,

Recently we noticed that when we hit reply to in outlook on an order mail coming into our inbox it replies to ourself iso the person placing the order. I am investigating where the issue is coming from. I am running the latest update of every plugin. Any idea where this could be coming from?

    Thanks for you help.

for extra info. The behavior was not there before and we didn’t change any settings. Something changed during the summer as we are closed and I did do some updates (woocommerce, WPO365, wordpress, …)

    Hi @dyin

Since WPO365 is not able to set the “from” address to an address other than the account that you initially authorized to submit WordPress emails to Microsoft Graph or any other account that the authorized account has been granted permissions for (to send on behalf), your only option to make this work, would be to specify a reply-to account in the email template in WooCommerce. That reply-to account must be equal to the customer’s email address. So my guess is that here something changed. I just quickly checked whether WPO365 does respect the reply-to header and didn’t find anything suspect.

    Hope this helps!

@wpo365 Thank you for the extra info. I will continue my investigation. Strange that is worked for several years and I didn’t change anything.

@wpo365 it seems like this behavior is also the same for CF7 forms. All worked till 27/07. So I am looking at the plugins that have been updated since then.
    Those are:
    CF7
    Woocommerce
    WPO365

I can’t find any real reason from my end why it stopped replying to the customer iso ourself. I must admit that CF7 & Woocommerce are likely candidates for this behaviour (haven’t had many bugs in this plugin). But I can’t rule out anything yet.

    Hi @dyin

Actually, I am now starting to see this same issue on the wpo365.com website for emails sent with another form solution as well and am starting to wonder whether something changed how reply-to is handled by Microsoft. I am investigating this while we speak and will update here as soon as possible.

    Thank you for your patience!

@wpo365 Hey Marco, thank you for informing me. I am happy I can pause my troubleshooting for the time being ??

    Hi @dyin

Actually, we are not alone: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/answers/questions/1855228/graph-api-replyto-not-set-when-sending-e-mails?page=1&orderby=Helpful#answers

I fear that Microsoft has updated their systems and created a regression. I have also responded to this thread and everyone ending up here having an issue with Microsoft Graph API not correctly setting the replyTo property when using the sendMail endpoint is invited to press the “I have the same question” link, to make sure Microsoft becomes aware of this issue!

@wpo365 ah damn. I am sure Microsoft will be slower to fix. I have pressed the button anyway. Our sales season starts in September and I really hope they manage to fix by then.
