    Hi

    We’ve had a bunch of customers placing duplicate orders using either credit card or PayPal so it is not those specific gateways. The problem is after you hit the “Place Order” button you get what looks like a failed order notice of some kind. You can see a red bar with the exclamation point but no message and all the information for the order it’s still sitting there including credit card number. At this point the order does come through to us in the admin panel but the customer doesn’t know so they try again and that creates a second exact order for them. Please help, thank you!

    Actually on another order we could see the error was “Bad Gateway”

    Please, I really need help with this, this is urgent, we keep getting customers submitting duplicate orders.

    I’m experiencing the same exact thing. I am up-to-date on all updates. I see the following misspelling in the log file too, which is unusual.

    2020-09-20T22:18:16+00:00 NOTICE order_sumbit :: #1546 has a financial status of pending and was skipped.
    2020-09-20T22:18:16+00:00 NOTICE order_sumbit :: #1547 has a financial status of pending and was skipped.

    Looks like a dev was typing too fast. Shouldn’t “order_sumbit” be “order_submit” ?

    Also, this doesn’t happen all the time. I have orders that go through fine, then some that get duplicated or even triplicated.

    I had this happened randomly for about a week, looked into a bunch of stuff they recommended but couldn’t find what the problem was. We added a new service through our hosting company to increase the speed of our site and I really can’t tell if that is what fixed it but that was on Thursday and it is Tuesday and we haven’t had any more duplicate orders or encounter the issue ourselves.
    Sorry, not much help I know, it was very frustrating.

    I am also facing the same issue, mostly happen when website becomes slow or timeout error happen
    The only common thing is the user IP is different in duplicate orders (the time gap is less than 1 minutes or at same time)

    But the transaction is same
