    Hi Team,

I am struggling with an issue I have never faced before.
I am using Woocommerce and Payumoney(as my payment gateway).

After updating the woocommerce recently what happening is-
customer are able to purchase product but its showing order failed just after the payment being done. Admin is receiving two emails, one is from payment gateway saying Payment received successfully another email is from Woocommerce saying order failed. This is happening without any reason. It’s just happening like that only. I have contacted my hosting and payment gateway already but found no sign of fault on both the ends. Even my developer is unable to fins any issue as all seems good. And therefore, you guys are my final hope to get this resolved.

I guess there is some miscommunication between Woocommerce and Payment gateway just after the payment being done by a customer. It was working fine before last update to Woocommerce.

Can you please check and confirm.

  • Hi @erayyashu

Admin is receiving two emails, one is from payment gateway saying Payment received successfully another email is from Woocommerce saying order failed.

Could you please navigate to WooCommerce > Status > Logs and from the dropdown on the right side, please see if there are any logs starting with the words fatal-error? Please let us know what you find.

It was working fine before last update to Woocommerce.

Whether any compatibility issues with Payumoney have arisen after the last WooCommerce update – that is a possibility but is not determined yet. If you do not see any fatal errors in the step above, then please run the conflict test to find that out. Here’s a guide for your reference: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

Let us know how it goes. In your response please also share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

COMMENT: I navigated it to Logs and selected today’s log date and time> clicked on View but no logs found. It’s showing nothing in there. Other than that, I ran the conflict test by activating wordpress instead of theme I am using. Issue still exists there. Tomorrow, I will move ahead deactivating all plugins and re-test the same. Let me get back to you what I notice.

Thanks so far but please keep this ticket open for now.

    Thanks for the update.

Sure, we’ll look forward to hearing from you and will be happy to assist further.

    Cheers

    Hi,

I went to the plugins and deactivated all plugins except woocommerce and payumoney.

I created test product for INR 1 and bought it but still the same problem. Also, when I created the same product with price INR 0. Its working fine even with the plugins.

This means there is no problem with theme and plugin bit either with Woocommerce or Payumoney plugin.

    Please advise.

    Thanks

    Hi @erayyashu

Thank you for performing the conflict test.

To get some more information about the failing orders, please go to WooCommerce → Orders in the WordPress dashboard (WP Admin) and click on an order that failed.

In the right-hand column, you’ll see an “Order Notes” box with a list of order details. There, you should see a message Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed, along with a separate note detailing the reason.

Let us know the reasons you find for some of your failed orders.

    No deatiled reason found.

    Simply found 3 notes:
    1. Thank you for shopping with us. However, the payment failed
    2. Failed
    3. Order status changed from Pending payment to Failed.

Looking for your response…. Please get back soon.

    Hello,

Tomorrow, I will move ahead deactivating all plugins and re-test the same.

You can clone your site to perform the test. You can ask your host for this option, or you can use this plugin WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

Then when performing the test you can place a test order,
You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

If the issue persists, please provide a copy of your site’s System Status, it is under WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.

Let us know how it goes.

Please check if you have latest version of payu plugin : https://devguide.payu.in/plugins/integration-with-woocommerce/install-payu-plugin-for-woocommerce/

Updating plugin fixed issue in my site.

    @shubhakeerthi

I am unable to install this plugin I don’t know why. I guess it’s getting failed to install as I am using the same ver3.8.1.

    Please advise.

    Hi @erayyashu,

It seems you’ve already installed PayU Plugin for WooCommerce’s latest version. Now, if you see that the issue persists with all plugins disabled (except WooCommerce core and PayU) and the theme switched to Storefront, you might want to get back to the PayU plugin developers as they’d be more familiar with how their plugin works than we would be.

Please note that while we’re experts on our own products, third-party plugins are best supported by their own authors/developers.

If they are not able to help with this, I would suggest installing and trying another payment gateway plugin for your country and checking if you still have the same problem.

    Best regards.

We’ve not heard back from you in a while, so I’m marking this thread closed. Hopefully, the above info was helpful.

If you have further questions, please feel free to open a new topic.

I am facing the same problem with PayU plugin. Any help please.
