    Hi there
    i tried editing the “order complete” template and than made an order to see it works for customers like i wanted it – then i found out the email is not sent. when i made the order i got the “order confirmation” email (as a customer) but the order status changed to “complete” i didn’t get the “order complete” email.

    If you can reproduce the issue, kindly install WP Mail Logging plugin to track the email and see the error triggered.

    @oaoyadeyi that was indeed my follow up step.
    since 2 things occored:
    1. the WP Mail Logging is only registering a small portion of the emails sent by woocommerce (i opened a topic on that with the plugin support)

    2. i noticed i recived those emails of “order complete” with the edited template – in a few houres delay. is that normal behavior for woocommerce?
    i got by now 2 out of 3 “order complete” emails i was supposed to get

    You can take the following actions to resolve the issue:

    * Check the WooCommerce Email and Order Settings.
    * Check the Payment status.
    * Check email reliability.

    @ihereira thanks for that. i read the article. maybe i’ll switch to smto plugin instead of using my server, however i’d like to clerify before changing the whole setting – if my emails are infact being sent, just in delay of several hours – is the chnage to SMTP provider neccesery? is it supposed to make the emails be sent immediatly and not reach the spam?

    Hi @ophirsela,

    Thanks for getting back to us.

    WooCommerce triggers the email notification as soon as the order status changes to “Completed”. If you’re experiencing delays with the email delivery then you’d want to get in touch with your email service provider.
