Order by column via Shortcode

Similar to your question about the column order, this is possible with the Row Order feature module that is part of the TablePress premium versions.

Now, alternatively, it might be sufficient to simply sort the table by the first column on the “Edit” screen, by double-clicking the “A” letter in the table head row. This will statically sort the table.

no, that’s not actually true! All premium features have been newly added and developed after the introduction of the premium versions at the end of last year. In many cases, these are features that make managing and working with tables easier and quicker.

(And just in case you hadn’t seen it: You can of course change the order of columns on the table’s “Edit” screen as well, via drag and drop!)

Sure we know that ordering is possible. But Users only Import complete table and should Not change the sorting After that. It should be Easy to be updated.

thanks for the explanation. If you don’t want users to modify (sort) the file before uploading, nor the table after importing, the mentioned Row Ordering and Column Ordering feature modules would be what I recommend.

Of course, I totally understand that purchasing a premium version is not possible for all sites, but then the saved time and gained comfort are maybe not yet valuable enough.
