We still have a coming soon page up, but if you message me I can take it down for you too look at it.

On Safari and Safari Mobile in between the product quantity and the add to cart button on the product page there is -or- just like that with the dashes.

Can you tell me why and how to get rid of it?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi there ??

Could you please provide us with a full-screen uncropped screenshot in order to understand where the issue is located and provide you with guidance? I recommend https://snipboard.io for easily sharing screenshots – please follow the instructions on the page, then paste the URL here. It works with Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.

Also, is this issue only happening on Safari?

    Thanks!

I have taken the coming soon page down for a bit today as we are working on a few things before the launch.

    The URL is https://thewatermarkshop.com

The pages in question are the product pages

Yes, it appears that the issue is only in safari.

Thank you for sharing the screenshot!

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    Before you start

    1. First, please make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. Most hosting companies have this included in the subscription, but you could also consider using a service like?Jetpack. If something goes wrong, it’s nice to know that you can restore your site.
    2. Second, I would suggest installing a plugin called?Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it allows you to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

    I hope that helps!

    Hi there,

Just to add a bit here: that -- OR -- is likely coming from Stripe’s payment request buttons. Generally, in Chrome with a Google Pay payment method added, or in Safari with an Apple Pay method added, then it will display something like this with the “OR” between the payment button and the Add to Cart button:

    add to cart or

You mentioned that you only see the issue in Safari, so it sounds like the Apple Pay button isn’t loading correctly, resulting in the “OR” being displayed by itself. In Chrome, are you seeing the Google Pay payment request button displayed before the OR? Or are you not using the payment request buttons at all? If you aren’t using those buttons, then you can disable them under WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Stripe.

Yes I heard this on another forum but there was no answer on how to FIX it. I don’t have the buy or apple pay button on the product page, it’s only in the cart…

I would like to have it on the checkout page as well, but right now I can only seem to get in on the cart page.

How do I remove the -or- from the product pages.

I don’t use google pay, so I don’t know if it is showing up in chrome.

    Hi there,

I don’t use google pay, so I don’t know if it is showing up in chrome.

It looks like your site is behind the “Coming soon” page again, so I wasn’t able to check with Chrome/Google Pay.

I would like to have it on the checkout page as well, but right now I can only seem to get in on the cart page.

By default, it only tries to load the buttons on the Product and Cart pages, however you can display them on the Checkout page as well with a snippet as described here:
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/stripe/#show-payment-request-button-checkout-page

Also, if you don’t want to show them on the Single Product page, you can hide them with a snippet (which should also prevent the “OR” from loading) as described here:

Hey, I put that snippet in with a snippet plugin and it worked. Thank you so much for that resource, and your help. I really appreciate it.

Incedentially would those snippets go in the functions.php or somewhere else usually? I used the plugin so I can update without a child theme.

Glad to hear it worked! ??

Generally, we recommend adding snippets to either a child theme’s functions.php file or via a snippet plugin like the one you used (Code Snippets is a good one). Adding it to a parent theme’s functions.php file is not recommended since it will be wiped when you update the theme.

    I hope that helps!

So after all that the Apple Pay Button is at the top of the check out all the way across the screen instead of down where it belongs with the payment buttons.

The store has launched now so there is no “coming soon” page anymore.

Any ideas on how to get it into the right spot?

    Hi there,

Yes, the Stripe plugin adds those payment request buttons (Apple/Google Pay) as buttons at the top of the page:

    google pay
    Link to image: https://d.pr/i/EsRbxN

There’s no built-in seting for it to display down at the bottom in the list of payment gateways instead. Moving it somewhere else on the page would require some custom code to get working.

It would be great to have you add a request for this sort of option to the Ideas Board, which is where developers go to look for future plugin features and improvements:
