OQey Gallery pics not loading into gallery

oqey-gallery- the version in the plugin listing says 1.0.3 but when I tried to download and install 1.0.8 it said the folder already existed so I’m assuming I’m up to date.
When I try to upload pictures to a gallery the page blinks like it is loading then does nothing – no pictures in the gallery.
Any help with this is appreciated.
