Options/Suggestions for Staging Environments?

    Can anyone suggest options for using this plugin on sites with staging and production environments? How can we keep the statistic gathering running uninterrupted when copying up and down from one environment to the other?

    Some hosting companies (such as WPEngine) allow me to exclude individual tables in the database when copy an environment. Other hosting companies do not; copying the database up and down is an all or nothing operation.

    In those all or nothing situations, if I copy the production environment down to the staging environment, do some work on the site there for a few days, and then copy back up to the production environment, there will have been no stats about visitors to the production site collected for those several days.

    Any way to get around that problem?

    Hi @hommealone

    At the moment, We don’t have a feature for exporting and importing data, but we do plan to add this feature to the plugin in the future.

    For now, you can manually export the plugin’s tables from the database and import them into another database. Alternatively, you can use tools or plugins like WP Migrate DB to handle this process.
