For when the staff gets back…:)

The options are not saving properly. I clicked the related posts to “on”. Then, using the dropdown arrow, I clicked the “use large image” checkbox, and then clicked save. I got an error message stating that related posts was not active. Yet, it was still set to on.

I had to click the Jetpack Settings link again before the state of the option was recognized.

I’ve had similar things happen with the settings page. Click something “on”, then go to a different section/tab, and the setting on the previous tab returns to “off”.

Thanks for the report! The first thing to check is whether any other plugins on your site may have a conflict. Please check our Known Issues list here:
    https://jetpack.com/support/getting-started-with-jetpack/troubleshooting-tips/

You can also try to deactivate all plugins on your site, and see if that resolves the issue. If it does, then activate them one at a time to determine which is causing the conflict.

If that doesn’t help, please rule out a theme conflict by temporarily changing your site’s theme to a default theme (such as Twenty Sixteen) and trying again.

If the issue persists after that, could you provide me with a link to your site so that I can take a look?

    OP did you fix this?

This is not resolved (and I didn’t receive an email even though I checked the box).

No, it is not resolved. It has happened with a completely “fresh” site nothing but the default plugins and Jetpack installed. But, it does not always do it. I’ve tried “forcing” the error to occur a couple of times, and the results vary.

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Next time this happens, could you try the following:

    Could you try the following:

    1. Open the dashboard page.
    2. Open your browser console
    3. Click on the Network tab
    4. Refresh the page.
    5. Try to change the options, and hit save to save them.
    6. If you see any lines in red inside the browser console, click on them. A new panel should appear on the right.
    7. Click on the “Response” tab in that new panel.
    8. Copy the message displayed there.
    9. Paste it here.
    10. If no red lines appeared in the browser console, click on the “Console” tab of the browser console.
    11. Copy any errors displayed there, and paste them here.

    Thanks!

@op if you want to fix this resave you permalinks settings. Don’t change the settings, just resave that settings page. Then go to Jetpack and your options will save.
