options for exporting post type

    I’m using the WordPress exporter to export posts.

    I can export everything or choose a post type. When i choose ‘post’ i get lots of options including a date range.

    When i select a CPT there are no options and you have to export all of that post type. It would be great if we could see the same settings as when exporting posts so you can just export the last months or by a specific author.

    Currently have 3,000 of a CPT and its really slow to export and import the whole set all the time.

    Is there a setting in CPT UI that an activate these?

    Capability Type for the CPT is set to post. I can’t think of anything else that would make difference.

    Honestly not sure there’s much that we specifically can do here, we don’t have any functionality related to exporting CPT content. At best, we have the ability to export the settings for our plugin itself.

    What export plugin are you using for this work? Their support is probably going to be the best source to amend this behavior.

    yeh i just thought that setting ‘post’ functionality might allow these options for CPTs. Or maybe some export functionality built into the plugin for CPT to custom taxonomies. D.
