• We’ve just implemented SSL on all of our WordPress websites. However, authors are looking to embed video from sources other than large streaming service (YouTube, Wistia, Vimeo, etc) that have HTTPS options.

Anyone have tips or still-secure workarounds for embedding insecure video in a page served over HTTPS without triggering the browser’s mixed content block?

  • if an https page makes http requests, this usually will trigger an “insecure content” warning.

you can try Video Cloud Player maybe it will help you

Thanks! That looks like it would solve the problem for any video or streaming provider that uses the brightcove player, but wouldn’t cover every instance.
