    Hi Peter:

Amazing plugin. I’d happily pay for it — it’s simplified my life greatly. However, I’ve installed it on multiple sites — all with custom themes built on Underscores (https://underscores.me/), and am having the same problem.

Simply put, changes to the Responsive Menu Options are not saved. I’ll make 10-15 changes to the various settings, and get the positive “You have successfully updated the Responsive Menu options” message, but then, the changes either don’t appear on the site, or they don’t appear on the back end. Every time I hit the “Update” button, a different item is changed or reverts to its original setting.

For example, no matter how often I delete the “Menu Title” text, it keeps re-appearing. Or, I’ll set the CSS of Menu to Hide, and it’ll work for, say, two saves, and then be gone again. To get this plugin to work, it’s been a crapshoot of hitting save over and over again, and then changing the options over and over again, and just hoping that eventually it’ll all work.

Just now, I changed the Location Settings option to put the top margin at 100px, instead of 30px, which I had entered before. I hit “Update,” and then there’s no change. It’s still 30px. And the CSS Class to Hide, which has been in there since I first installed the plugin, has disappeared.

This kind of thing is happening repeatedly. Any idea why — and is happening to anyone else on WP 4.0?

Additionally: I realized my initial image/logo for the top of the menu was too large, so I uploaded a smaller version. But no matter how many times I choose the new file and press “Update,” the menu displays the original, too-large image — despite the fact that the settings page indicates the new, smaller/right-size image has been entered.

It’s as if only select options are being saved — and inconsistently. I’d chalk it up to a database problem if it wasn’t happening on two sites, both on different servers.

    Hi lucas_ps,

I can’t say that I have ever had this issue or heard of it from anyone else or any of my dev/live sites, which is extremely strange.

Could you provide me with a WordPress admin login so I can try and take a look at this for you first hand and see what might be the cause?

    Many thanks

    Peter

    Hi same for me !
after many changes (don’t know exactly how many), no more changes are possible.

    safari 7.1
    WordPress 3.6.1
    run on localhost MAMP 3.0.5
    Headway plugin active

    Hi J_U_L,

This is strange as it’s not something I have ever experienced.

Do you have anything in your error_log or do you get any messages (does it say it was a success?)

Again, I would need access to really see what is happening here.

    Many thanks

    Peter

    Hi,
    i’ve found a temporary solution.
If I clic on the “Update Responsive Menu” button, and then I clic on “responsive menu” button in the side bar, updates are done.

I am developing off line on my computer with MAMP, i can’t granted you access sorry
There are no error, nor messages… sorry
    Thank you
    Jul.

Peter: I’ll get you an admin log-in for my page and you can take a look. BRB.

Turns out Jul’s method worked for me too. Clicking the Responsive Menu button in the sidebar showed the updates as being successful.

    Hi guys,

I have just released a new version, can you update and let me know if you are still seeing these issues?

    Many thanks

I have the same issue with the options are not saved.

I use wordpress 4.0 and plugin version 2.2.

The temporary solution from J_U_L ist also not working.

Also LOVE plugin and it had working fine but now having similar issues as others above- Also tried the new beta version 2.3 which didn’t help and tried disabling other plugins etc. The menu shows but will not target my desktop menu like it had done before and none of the settings will stick when saved.

Started looking at other mobile menu plugins and even paid ones don’t do what yours does with such simplicity!!

I would love to get it working for a site launch. I can provide access if needed
    Thanks!

    Hi sambada,

Yes please, I can’t get the same issues on any of my development/live setups so I’m struggling to understand what it could be.

If you could provide FTP/WordPress admin access then I will take a look at this for you as obviously this is affecting more than one person and must be considered a bug.

    Many thanks

    Peter

    Hi Peter

I’m experiencing this same issue. When I change the Choose Menu To Responsify dropdown to anything other than the first menu, and then save, the changes are not retained. They initially appear to be, but when you navigate to anywhere else in the admin area and then return to the RM settings, the first menu in the dropdown is selected.

Was there any further development on this issue? On my local install, I disabled all plugins (except for RM) and changed the them to Twenty-Ten, and the issue was still there. I’d prefer not to do that on my live site as it has some delicate plugins that I really don’t want to disturb, and it’s a busy site. I could possible setup a staging server online to demo the issue if needed.

    Hi moxyinc,

Please provide me with WordPress admin and ftp details as nobody who is having this issue has provided them to me so I haven’t been able to debug it as yet.

If you can provide these then I will get it fixed.

    Many thanks

    Peter

Peter – sorry I was out of town and missed your message. I will set up a test environment for you to have a look and get back to you. Many thanks,
    Jesse Collins

Peter: I just had the site send you login credentials. Let me know if you don’t receive them. This is a staging server, not the production site.
