Hi Josie. This issue does not affect our use of Entry Wizard. We use [~Cat][~1]-[~CD1] in the Optional Prefix field, which should result in file naming such as A1-13003.jpg, A2-13003.jpg, etc.

This works 99% of the time, but sometimes results in A1-13003.jpg, A1-13003-1.jpg. Since it is still a unique identifier we have no problem working with it, but I’m curious if you could explain why this would/might happen.

    Thank you,
    Stan.

The “-1” added to the end of a filename is done by wordpress when a new file is added to a folder that already contains one with the same name.

You don’t say it, but I’m assuming you have “generate entire filename” checked. In that case, this should not be happening, so thanks for letting me know. It looks as if I may have omitted to clear some cached data on directory listings.

I’ll fix it for the next version. If you still see this after the next version comes out ( maybe a month or two ), please let me know.

Thanks Josie. I’ll watch for the update.

Both “Apply prefix on upload” and “Generate the entire filename from Prefix” are checked.
