Optional Excerpts Not Showing Optional Excerpts

    Hi folks,

    Well, I finally changed my blog’s theme. But it presented a new issue.

    If you go to my blog DaveZan.com’s index/front page, it’s showing my 3 most recent posts. I put the 1st 2 paragraphs of each one as an optional excerpt, but you’ll notice that each post is showing the whole entry instead.

    It’s not using the excerpts tag. I eventually tried out what the 2 links referenced:

    Sigh, no dice.

    Anyway, could someone give some direction what’s causing this? The intended result is supposed to be like this:

    Post Title
    1st 2 paragraphs of Post
    Link to click to read more

    Post Title
    1st 2 paragraphs of Post
    Link to click to read more

    Post Title
    1st 2 paragraphs of Post
    Link to click to read more

    Well, probably found the solution on my own. I saved a copy of the index file to be sure, removed the content tag, and added the excerpt tag instead.

    Hope this helps someone else. But if someone can suggest something better, feel free to post.
