Hello, looking forward to implementing this on my site.

    A couple of questions.
    – A large hierarchy may struggle with being overloaded as it become closer to the top root. Is it possible to add do not propagate further option into an admin of a group?

    – the propagations which show in a group. does it consider if the user is member of the propagated group?
    eg:
user y is part of group a, group b, group c

user x is part of group a, group b

a user posts in group c,

    result
user y can read the post in group a
user x doesn’t see the post in group a

    Many Thanks

Hi @fullmoonfriday thanks for your enquiry.

Is it possible to add do not propagate further option into an admin of a group?

Yes, it would be possible. However, I personally don’t have the resources to develop this plugin further. It is what it is, I’m afraid.

does it consider if the user is member of the propagated group?

BuddyPress handles this – i.e. no activity items should be visible for groups that the user does not have permission to see. Visibility is not based on membership but on the kind of group in which the activity item exists. So, all public group activity will be visible, whilst private or hidden group activity will be viewable depending on group membership.

    Cheers, Christian

You’re welcome. And if I get a project that requires the functionality you’re after, I’ll include it in the plugin.

    Cheers, Christian
