That looks like a bug. The text doesn’t even make sense, since the purpose of that page is to reorder posts.

I’ve created a GitHub issue for this bug … https://github.com/ronalfy/reorder-posts/issues/20

Heh, we’re having a lovely debate even if the message is useful. The intention behind it is to avoid the occasional nasty review here when people yell at us because the plugin doesn’t affect the front-end without some code modifications.

I’ll probably just remove it in the next update.

I’m sure it’s confusing for people who don’t understand menu_order and find no change in their site after installing the plugin and reordering their posts. And it must be frustrating for you that they leave poor reviews without understanding how the plugin works! I think a message of some sort is appropriate, as long as it can be turned off on the settings page.

I left a 5-star review! Started using your plugin after having problems with Anything Order.

    Keep up the good work.

Thanks for the five star review ??

I think a message which mentions something about it not automatically changing your default blog loop would be suitable. I’m not sure how to word that without getting too technical though.

I’ll push out an update tonight. I updated the github repo, but my deploy script is on my home laptop.

    Thanks for the review!

    Okay, removed as of 2.1.2.
