Is YOAST now implement “half of words from the keyphrase rule”, not only at subheading, but to all keyphrase calculation in content?

It is ridiculous because it mess with all of my articles.

Unless you have valid proof that google implement that rule for rank calculation, at least please give user the option to DEACTIVATE this rule.

The keyphrase is “teknik merawat ayam jago”

If the sentence only have “ayam jago”, “teknik merawat” or any part of that keyphrase, it include in keyphrase marking

After I check again, that marked only happen when I check via keyphrase distribution.

But it normal when I check with keyphrase density.

So, Yoast implement “half of words from the keyphrase rule” for subheading and keyphrase distribution now?

If you want the Yoast SEO content analysis to perform analysis against the exact focus keyphrase match, you’ll need to wrap the relevant focus keyphrase using a double quote "teknik merawat ayam jago". The content analysis will no longer use the half part but will use the exact match.

    We hope this helps!

The system only analysis the keyphrase IN ORDER if using that wrap. So that doesn’t help much.

Please have an option to disable that “half rule”, it’s wrong on so many level to force it, because many keyphrase not suitable with that rule, either in content or in subheading.

It makes many user can no longer rely on yoast to do keyphrase distribution analysis anymore.

We are not exactly sure on why do you think wrapping the focus keyphrase using double quotes is wrong. Can you please elaborate more on this, please?

There’s nothing wrong when wrapping the focus keyphrase using double quotes as it tells the controversy analysis to look for exact match instead of using the function words.

You can see at the last paragraph (bold), yoast not counting it as keyphrase while that paragraph have all part of the kayphrase.

It only count 1 in keyphrase density analysis.

Wrapping the keyphrase only recognize the keyphrase in the exact order, thus make article not natural.

What I want is, yoast doing analysis normally without using “half rule”, because it will mess the article.

    Thank you

Thanks for your clarification. mentioned looking at the last paragraph (bold) where Yoast SEO isn’t detecting the keyphrase. We see that you’re referring to the following paragraph that appears in the last parts of the screenshot you provided.

Pastikan anak ayam dalam keadaan hangat sehingga lebih mudah untuk beradaptasi dengan lingkungan. Ayam jago akan tumbuh secara sehat apabila menggunakan teknik merawat ini.

We understand that Yoast SEO isn’t detecting the focus keyphrase teknik merawat ayam jago from the relevant paragraph even though it has all the four words from the focus keyphrase but you expect Yoast SEO to detect the focus keyphrase from the relevant paragraph.

We have tested the expected behavior on our end using the English language and can confirm the plugin does exactly what you are expecting but in Indonesian, it doesn’t. So, based on all the information you provided and all the investigation we have done so far, we think this is a bug. We appreciate you for bringing this to our attention. If you have a moment to spare with us, please do feel free to submit a proper bug report directly at our GitHub development repository so our development team can investigate the issue further and release a fix in a future version of our plugin. In this way, you’ll get the notification for the progress of the relevant bug report.

    We hope this helps!
