    Hello,

I have been looking all over for a plugin I can use for my website and I finally find what I was looking for but still limits what I would like to accomplish with my tables.

At the top of the table you have the option for users to limit the number of entries shown on the table, which I like because I have a lot of data to show, but I would also like the option to have a drop down menu for different categories.

    For example:

    QB
    RB
    WR
    etc.

Is this possible and if not how can I have you add it in more me? I would really like to use this plugin for my site. It will save me a ton of money.

I’m looking forward to hearing from you.

    God Bless,
    Matthew

    Hi Matthew,

    thanks for your question.

Could you please post a link to the page with the table, so that I can take a direct look? I’m not quite sure yet what exactly you are trying to achieve, and seeing the table should help me with that. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my question. I havent started the site yet and I’m just trying to get things in order so I know the best direction to take with my website.

But, here is a link of what I’m trying to accomplish

    https://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=2&offensiveStatisticCategory=GAME_STATS&conference=ALL&role=TM&season=2012&seasonType=REG&d-447263-s=TOTAL_YARDS_GAME_AVG&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-n=1

The link provided has a couple of drop down menus to sort the data better.

    Hi Matthew,

    thanks for the link.
So, just that I got it right: You want drop down menues above the table, that define which columns are shown?

    Hi Tobias,

Yes, that is correct. Is this possible?

    Hi Matthew,

I don’t have a readily available solution for that, unfortunately.
Your best chance would probably be some custom HTML/JavaScript code that listens for change events on the drop downs and then hides/shows certain columns via CSS.

    Hi Tobias,

I completely understand. Do you plan to implement something like this in the feature and if so how long from now?

Implementing this feature would take you plugin to the next level making it much simpler and cost effective for all your users.

    Hi Matthew,

no, I don’t really have plans for this right now. It’s not really something that many users need like this, in my opinion.
If at all, I could imagine to maybe create a TablePress Extension for this.

    Tobias

    Hey Tobias,

Well, I still need it. How much would it cost me to have you create a ToolPress Extension?

    Hi Matthew,

I’m a little bit busy right now, but we can maybe discuss this via email (my address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”).

    Regards,
    Tobias

I would also appreciate an extension such as this one!

    Hi,

ok, I guess there’s some demand here. Matthew has written me an email, and I’ll discuss a few options with him.

    Regards,
    Tobias
