I tried uploading a plugin via FTP put it in plugins folder and wasn’t showing up in plugins page on wp ….

so I tried to add it via wordpress dashboard by clicking on plugins ‘add new’ but that option is no longer there…

do anyone know whay this is? It’s been there in the past. Plugins heading in sidebar has no down arrow to extend it.

The only thing I can think may have caused issues is having a multisite?

    Any thoughts much appreciated thanks

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.
