Option Sweep hang up

    Just installed WP-Sweep and run it. At Option Sweep, it hang up after 238 of 479 options (49.69%). The site appears to be running normally. I closed the plug-in page and the re-opened it again. Selecting the Option Sweep ‘Sweep’ button a couple of times resulted in a few options being deleted, then another hang up. At present I am on to 242 options – but at least the ‘Sweep’ button is reverting to blue now, that presenting itself as ‘Sweeping’ on a greyed out button. Any advice on what the problem might be?

    WordPress 5.8 running Neve theme
    WP-Sweep Version 1.1.5
    PHP Version 7.4.19
    Mysqli: mysqlnd 7.4.19

    My guess is your PHP times out (default to 30s) or the memory exceeded the limit. You might need to increase either value in your PHP config. Nevertheless, it is safe to keep sweeping if you don’t want to adjust the values.

    Ah, that makes sense – the site is for a small hobby-based association, so a low-cost server package was appropriate, and on the whole it works well. Thanks for the explanation.

    Hello, I’ve just started using your WP-Sweep plugin on my website that I think needs cleaning up – a lot!

    It has been “hanging” whilst sweeping for a few hours with the “sweep button” greyed out. At present it has found 11,867 (99.66%) Orphaned Post Meta and has been listing 500 identified Orphaned Post Meta since I started.

    I’m happy to leave it running but wanted to check if there was anything I’m doing wrong and if you recommend leaving it to run as you did with “kiwibrit” in an earlier question.
