Option Grayed out

  • Hi, i am going thru the change capabilities menu and i see that some options are grayed out… how do unlock that?

  • Same here. I cannot remove “Publish posts” capability from Author, for example.

    Edit: solved. I was trying to edit capabilities from an user. Go to edit capabilities from a role under User menu – User Role Editor.

    To @dariofailla: @rafaelpetermann is fully correct.

    If user was granted some capability from role the related checkbox is shown as ‘disabled’ at the user level. If you wish to revoke this capability from user, revoke it from the role or create a custom role without that capability and assign such role to a user.
