This looks fantastic. I am looking for this functionality for an intranet install (without an external internet connection). I think Disqus requires an internet account or for commenters to be authenticated via Discus.

I read a post where you said you might have plans to make this plug-in independent of Disqus. Is that still on the roadmap?

Does anyone know if Disqus can be used on local/intranet install of WP with WP users rather than Disqus authentication?

    Peace

    Hi,
yes, I plan to make this plugin independent of Disqus. But I have sooo much to do that this can take several weeks or months.
Alternatively, you can ask Tsi to do this, the author of inlineDisqussions. Then I can upgrade the WordPress plugin based on his (new) code.

    Regards,

Meanwhile, Inline Comments works independent of Disqus and it works with native WP comment system.
