• I have added the plugin however when a customer makes an offer there are no options relating to the Taxes to be included in the accepted offer or not – so when the customer makes offer of say £100 they assume it includes taxes but then checkout is adding taxes to this amount instead of showing the breakdown of net price plus vat

    please advise

  • Hi @ashb291286, Well its not something we need to add or adjust, but the texes are on the products so you can define prices inclusive of taxes or exclusive of text and then you can also add some text using woocommerce > Tax > Price prefix : https://prntscr.com/kuf6sy

    so when you mention it like this the user will already know that either the price is inclusive of tax or if that is going to be included later. Hope that make sense.

    Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

    Thanks!

    Hi Oliver,

    Many thanks for your reply, Yes all prices on the website are inclusive of VAT at the checkout this is then displayed separately for the customer to see the VAT element of the product.

    When the customer is submitting an ‘offer’ they are pricing it including VAT when I am accepting the offer it is then adding VAT onto the price they have stated rather than including it.

    Please advise.

    I’m little bit confused when you say its included at checkout? That’s the normal flow of including tax when tax is applied either at checkout / cart page. could you show via screenshot or a video how your tax calculation is working?

    Hi,

    Please provide an email address I can send you a video;

    For reference, the following occurs;

    customer submits an offer of £100.00

    Offer is accepted and is added to the basket + VAT = £120.00

    Instead, it should be;

    customer offers £100.00

    Offer is accepted and is added to the basket INC VAT = £100.00 which is 83.33 + 20% VAT

    Thanks for explaining that, I have one other question for you, do you have offers enabled for all of those products? Or just few?

    (@ashb291286)

    I have 20 products for which the offer option has enabled the rest of my products approx 1800 are do not have offers on.

    Regards

    and all those prices are inclusive of the tax or exclusive of the tax?

    all prices are taxable

    Regards

    I’m so sorry for the delay in response. So what you are saying is that all the prices you have added includes tax, right? What you can do here is define a zero tax class in tax settings and when adding offers product add 0 tax class to those products that way they will not be charged any VAT on checkout / cart page.

    But if you like then to show the breakup of those then that may need some custom coding. Although we are not having any much request for that . But I can add that requests to our backg log and we will try to work on that in some future release.

    Thanks!
