How do I limit the max photo size when users are allowed to upload.

Right now my front end upload page says “Max photo size: 2439 x 1829 (4.3 MegaPixel)” which is a pretty good size photo – not that there is anything wrong with that – but, it’s not really necessary for user uploads at my site to be that big.

Being able to specify in the admin that max size is something like 1600x1200px and/or 1.25mb (or whatever works, and is below the server limits) would be very helpful.

Am I missing something in the settings?
Is file upload size limitation possible?
If not, would you consider adding this feature as an option?

For my website it will be critical to making sure that directories do not bloat to excessive proportions with unnecessarily large files.

If you want to limit the mb’s uploaded: resize during upload: Table I-A2 and select a suitable size in Table I-A3. Also, do not save sources ( Table IX-H1a,b )

If you do not want the ‘max size’ message, uncheck Table VII-B8.1 and 8.2

If you do both, it is the most transparent to both you and the user, nobody doesn’t have to bother about sizes.

Nice. Okay, great. That’ll work ??

Thanks again for such a great plugin.
