    I have just started using this plugin. I am testing it on two different sites on different hosts, using the same theme and versions of wordpress etc.

    I generated a new(different) api key at mailchimp for each.

    On site 1, the api never connects with mailchimp – I don’t get a red cross or a green tick, just a rotating circle indicating, I suppose, that it’s thinking about it. That never resolves. (I tried generating yet another new api key and tried that but no difference.)

    On site 2, the api does connect with mailchimp and I get the green tick. Plus I can see the dropdown box wth my lists in it. But when I click save to save the form, or close the form builder window, it loses the connection and the box for the api just shows the api key with no cross or tick beside it. The dropdown box also disappears. If I delete and reinsert the api, it connects again, but again loses it when I save.

    Having tested the sign up, the form redirects to the homepage but (unsurprisingly) no subscriptions are made (no 2-stage optin email triggered).

    Hi,
    Sorry that you are having this problem – could you check with your WebHost provider to see that your website(s) cURL is setup/configured correctly?

    If that is done, I’d suggest trying to disable other (all/some) plugins on your site to see if the issue goes away as this might be a possible plugin conflict.
