I just wanted to run these basics past you to hopefully ensure that what WF is thinking for the firewall optimization (Litespeed/Isapi) is correct (it would seem to be) and that it’s just going to modify .htaccess in this case.

The only file that it prompts to backup is .htaccess (I have not actually attempted going past that point yet).

Cpanel (68.0.29)-hosted WP. Single site/hosting account. It’s not SiteGround but could be a “similar host” to it for all I know (in reference to your KB article about this).

    WF: 7.1.0 (1519855237)
    PHP 7.1.14
PHP Selector in cPanel: auto_prepend_file set to null (“”) for PHP 7.1
Server API field in “Other tests”: LiteSpeed V6.11

If all it’s going to do in our case is modify .htaccess (given that it’s the only one backed up), then it would be easy enough to revert should things go south.

    Thanks

    Hi @bjf2000
I confirm that since your server has “LiteSpeed” installed and configured, then the only file needs to be modified is “.htaccess” in that case, and as you mentioned it will be a simple one file replacement (from the backup) in case something went wrong.

    Thanks.

Thanks. We went ahead and enabled it and all was well.
