Optimizing Images and Lazy Loading

    Hi,

    I tried the free version of this plugin and it works for me tremendously. Im thinking about buying the Pro because I would like features Optimize CSS delivery, Optimize Images.

    I have following questions.

    This is my site: adspottest.cf (development site)

    01. I couldn’t find any settings for Lazy loading in free version. Does it come with Pro version?

    02.
    i) Optimize Images: as I understand I have to “manually” optimize images right? OR your plugin is able to optimize images when its uploaded to server? (in my case when users upload images when posting an ad?)

    ii) Also I noticed it uses Kraken API key. Do I need to get one myself or do you provide one?

    iii) If I have to get API key myself, I need to pay for that separately right?

    01. Yes the Lazy-load feature is only available in the Pro Version.

    02. i) The plugin provides an easy interface for optimizing images on your site using the Kraken API. This again is only available in the Pro Version. You will see a folder tree of the folders on your server starting from the root folder. If you click on a folder if opens up and reveals the files and sub-folders in that folder. Click on the ‘Optimize Image’ button and the plugin will optimize all the images in that folder and replace the original images with the optimized version. Currently you can only optimize one folder at a time but in the next version, to be released shortly, you will be able to also optimize images in sub-folders.

    ii) You need to sign up on https://kraken.io to get your API key and API secret to optimize images. Save these in the appropriate fields in the plugin and then you’re set to go.

    iii) When you sign up you start with free account which allows you to optimize up to 50Mb of images. After this quota is reached, there are other plans that you can consider that best suit your needs: https://kraken.io/plans

    These plans are separate from the cost of the JCH Optimize plugin. We only use the Kraken API but there’s no affiliation between the two companies.

    I will surely leave a review. Your free version helped me a lot.
    It may take a while (need to do some other things first). But I think I will leave the review AFTER (not if) I buy Pro version.

    Image optimization is not going to useful for me, because I can’t afford Kraken with my monthly maintenance budget. I already have nearly 3 GB of images and 50mb free storage will run out in few days.

    The reasons I will buy your Pro are Lazy Loading and Optimizing CSS delivery. As free version worked out for me flawlessly Im sure Pro version will work too.
