Optimizer Theme Won’t Show Slider When I Set My Homepage as a Static Page

  • I apologize in advance if this is a stupid question, but I am very new to all of this. I’m using the Optimizer theme and when I set my homepage as a static page, the image slider goes away. One thing that I noticed is that when I edit my homepage, under Page Attributes, there is no option for homepage. The only options available are: Default Template; Blog Page Template; Full Width Page; and Page With Left Sidebar. Is it not possible to have an image slider if my homepage is a static page? I’ve updated wordpress and all of my plugins and the optimizer theme. I’ve flushed my wp cache, cleared my browser cache/cookies. Is there something that I’m missing, or am I asking the impossible?     Hi,

    This is how the theme was made. You will have to set your frontpage to “Your Latest Posts” to use the slider and the widgets.
