Optimized title – simple products

    Hi,

    Fantastic plugin but I’ve encountered a problem.

    With Variable Products any standard (letters, numbers, spaces and , or .) characters are accepted but for Simple Products it only accepts lowercase letters, numbers and a – to separate words.

    Any suggestions gratefully received. I’m still working through the products so won’t know until later how this will impact on the titles in Google Shopping listings. I’m guessing it will appear as entered.

    There are also two Optimized Title fields in the Variations sections of variable products!

    Thanks for using our plugin and reporting these issues to us.

    We have just pushed out a new release of our plugin (version 3.4.7) that should solve both issues you reported.

    Just update to the latest version and all should be fine again with regards to the ‘optimized title’ field.

    Hi, I don’t see the optimized title field.

    I use the latest version of the plugin, but I don’t see this field. Where exactly can I find it?

    Hi,

    Thanks for your quick response.

    The optimized title field now accepts spaces, capital letters and dashes (-) but not commas (,).

    Please advise if this can be corrected?

    Hi Jonas,

    You first need to enable the ‘Add GTIN, MPN, UPC, EAN, Product condition, Optimised title, Installment…’ option in the settings section of the plugin.

    Once you did you will find extra input fields on your product edit pages.

    Unfortunately it is not possible. WP requires us to sanitise user input for safety reasons. One of the characters this option removes, apparently, is the comma.
