• Hello,
I click an option to optimize the wordfence firewall, the whole proces seems to complete successfully, but after some short time the notice reappears and the the optimized firewall percentage shows 35% again.

I’m wondering why it is happening. I’m on cloudways, the technical support person has done some server-side check and said that the configuration looks all fine.

Is there any other reason why it may be happening?

Hi @szymonfortuna, thanks for reaching out!

We have had customers on?Cloudways?required to turn their Bot Protection feature off. Our WAF?optimization?will be removed later, after successfully completing, if not: https://www.cloudways.com/blog/announcing-bot-protection/

Not in all cases, but when?auto_prepend_file?is already being used in .htaccess/.user.ini by a different file to wordfence-waf.php, then you should select the “INCLUDE” button in the WAF?optimization?wizard.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

Hi, @wfpeter, thank you for the information.

Does the Cloudways Bot Protection has to be OFF all the time or just when configuring Wordfence friewall?

When you mention that your WAF protection will be removed later. May it be ok if I just wait for that update?

Just to confirm, if that configurations screen reappears, it means that your firewall protection doesn’t fully work?

    I appreciate your feedback.
    Best

I am experiencing the same issue as well. For now I have done a fresh install of the Wordfence and is in learning mode. I have the Bot Protection ON via Cloudways. It would be good to have Wordfence playing nice with Cloudways Bot Protection.

    Thanks heaps.
