Optimize all image under public_html

    If it lets you save the setting, then yes it will. Just make sure the permissions are correct on all the files in your public_html folder, or the Scan will stall out.

    what permission does it need? 755?

    So long as the files are owned by the same user that runs the web service (usually YOUR user account), the actual permissions shouldn’t matter too much, but 755 would definitely do it.
