Optimal image size for theme twenty fifteen

    I would like to optimize the size of the images I upload on my blog. I have read that the best thing to do is to trim the images so that they fit the width of the column in the theme of the blog. Does anybody know, how I can find out the exact width of the right column in the twenty fifteen theme?
