I’m planning on uploading a lot of images to my website. Doing some research into optimal image sizes for websites I’ve learned that the bigger the file size the longer it takes for a site to load, so obviously this could be an issue for me.

Looking into how to prepare images before uploading them to your website many sources have said to figure out the size of your theme’s content area and make sure that your images don’t exceed this size. How do I found out the content area size of this theme?

In addition what are some tips or processes that I can do to my images before uploading them to insure they have a smaller file size for faster site loading time, but doesn’t ruin the integrity of the photo?
