Optimal Image Size for Theme

Always good to plan your images, so you are off to a good start.

For the Morphology Lite theme, it uses (or can use) various sizes of images. But to give you a guideline, I’ve added some info for you here:

The Tiled image grid like the demo site https://demos.shapedpixels.com/morphology-lite/ has a thumbnail creation setting for 570×570.

The image post example https://demos.shapedpixels.com/morphology-lite/morbi-sit-amet-nibh-eget/ content area for the featured image is 715px in width.

For the banner image like here https://demos.shapedpixels.com/morphology-lite/sidebar-positions/ is 2085px in width. This is to accommodate larger screen resolutions.

The featured images for the three blog styles are:

1. Top Featured Image – Image can be whatever width and height you want
2. Top Featured Image with summary Left Aligned – can also be any width and height you want
3. Top Featured Image with Summary Centered – Can also be any width and height you want
4. Top Featured Image with Right Sidebar – the featured image is 708px in width.

image width should be less than your content area. If your content area width is 700PX, resize image width upto 690px. It will save lot of load speed. Read my complete guide about resizing images for website.

I recommend you to use shortpixel plugin to compress images, that will compress up to 80%. I have explained how I compress images here.
