    Hi again!

I followed this post: https://complianz.io/configuring-matomo-for-wordpress-with-complianz/ of how to configure matomo correctly with your plugin. But it seems to not work.

I use the official matomo plugin, because it gives me more control and settings of how matomo is integrated (for example I use the proxy script and heartbeat which isn’t possible with the complianz integration).

For some reason, it doesn’t matter what the user clicks on the cookie banner. Matomo tracks it anyway. What else could I have missed here that it’s not working?

I tested the method by using complianz to add matomo (for testing, not a real solution for me as stated above) but that didn’t track anything at all.

I’m glad if somebody could help me out here.

Ok, it seems like it is working when enabling the cookie shredder option. But the cookie doesn’t get removed. The data only doesn’t get transferred to matomo. But the cookie is still there.
Is that correct? How can the user actually know that it’s working when the matomo cookie is still there?

    Hi @jonalange,

There are multiple ways of implementing Matomo. If I can have a look at the URL this would be the fastest.

    Let me know, regards Aert
