    Hi @diegoagreda

I’m not qualified to say what is or isn’t ok to do.

What I can say is that for cookies that are out of your control you should link to instructions on how to opt-out. If such instructions don’t exist, link to their policies at least.

For example, my site depends heavily on youtube videos. Maybe it’s a course site and I have unlisted videos that only run on my site. Youtube set some cookies. They are not necessary for the videos to work, but I can’t easily disable them without blocking the entire video. That would cause my site to be useless. So a possible “solution” would be to have a link for instructions on how they can opt out of those cookies using some tool that youtube provides.

Awesome explanation Fernando. I really appreciate it. My question comes because I am not really a developer so I am trying to avoid getting into the code for the purpose of the cookies. I have to replicate the settings on 10 more sites too. We do not really get personal information until the visitor wants to do a transaction on our sites.
Another question I have. I have a coworker who gets greeted by the “privacy Policy pop up” and on another computer, the user does not get it. What’s your take on that? any reason why that could be happening? Thanks for this awesome plugin and thanks for your responses.

It should show for all unless you already clicked the agree button.

    You are very welcome.
