    Working now.

    Guess you have to install the Links Manager widget first.

    Would be nice if the error message would explain that.

    Trying to use the new Feedly https://cloud.feedly.com/#opml option to extract my feeds into my blogroll.

    I get the same result whether I use the URL or download the OPML to a text file and upload. Nothing uploads.

    Error is:

    XML error: Not well-formed (invalid token) at line 3

    The token is <head>, which I removed in the text file and it still failed to upload. Same error, though, for <body>. Tried removing it (and it’s / pair). No joy. Same error against <outline> token. I stopped trying.

    Anyone have a similar challenge?

    Ahh, when I removed this line, it got part of the way through.

    <?xml version=”1.0″ encoding=”utf-8″?>

    The new error is:

    XML error: XML_ERR_NAME_REQUIRED at line 16

    I can’t see anything unusual about line 16. It’s just one feed of 9 that precede it.

    Also, I think the OPML import function only supports OPML Version 1.0 and Feedly is generating Version 2.0. I suspect V2.0 accepts multiple Outline tokens.

    I did an export of my current links to see the format.

    Feedly is not generating the “category” & “title” token properly. It treats categories as just another rss feed. (I’ve noted this on the Feedly support page. This new OPML service is only days old as of this writing.)

    I’m not sure how WP handles multiple imported category tags anyway, though it generates one “blogroll” (my category tag) tagged outline token at the start of the list. I could imagine having to create link categories that match the Feedly categories, but I’d rather WP took care of that task.

    Just more fodder.
