Hi Patrick,

in the morning you mentioned me to change Google Maps against OpenStreetMaps because the API problem between EM and Google Maps.

That was a good idea and I install your plugin. Than I took the API in opencagedata.com and put it in the backend from your plugin.

In the backend the OpenStreetMaps are seen -> perfect!

But in the frontend I did not see the OpenStreetMap.

You wrote in an other thread to change #_MAP to #_LOCATIONMAP in Events -> Settings -> Formatting -> Single Event Page. I did it.

But for example the OpenStreetMap is not displayed. Example page with plugin EM:

I have cleared the Cache from WP Super Cache and Autoptimize. Nothing helped to display the OpenStreetMap.

Waht shall I do to fix the problem?

It seems your Auto Optimize plugin alters the loading of the needed Javascripts.
OpenStreetMaps and Leaflet (used in the plugin) need to be loaded exactly as provided by the plugin. Normal enqueing will not work.

Now, the inline script for the map (defining L for map for Leaflet) is undefined, hence no map.

Please try it again when you disabled the auto-optimizer ??

What happens is this:
Auto Optimize takes all your javascripts and combines them into one file. Not all javascript will work then (most will, luckily). Then it moves that one new file to the very footer of your page.

This way any inline script and/or any script loaded before Auto Optimze will not work as it is missing the core script.

The same goes for jQuery, for example. For page load is really is best to load scripts in the footer. Unfortunately that does not always work.

pro-tip; you can disable Autoptimize on a per-request basis by adding ?ao_noptimize=1 to the URL.

if the problem is not there at that point, some autoptimize (re-)configuration might be needed to fix this. there are troubleshooting tips and info on how to exclude in the AO FAQ.

I stopped using Auto Optimize a while back myself. Did it all manually. LOL.

The “new” url https://oldtimer-veranstaltung.de/kalender/termine/planai-classic-2019/?ao_noptimize=1 does work, indeed.

So, you’d need to exclude /plugins/stonehenge-em-osm/inc/

We were typing at the same time ??
You need to exclude /plugins/stonehenge-em-osm/inc/ in the settings of AO.

It’s best to exclude the directory and not single files (in this case) as the plugin may need to update its scripts in the future.
