  • Had this issue (it was affecting other sites and my whmcs backend) and downgraded as per the (cPanel and others) recommended process. My server reports corrent curl version as:

    [root@svr5 ~]# curl --version
    curl 7.29.0 (x86_64-redhat-linux-gnu) libcurl/7.29.0 NSS/3.36 zlib/1.2.7 libidn/1.28 libssh2/1.4.3

    WP and the site health tools > info > server reports curl as cURL version 7.67.0 OpenSSL/1.0.2t
    SO WHAT IS GOING ON? why the difference and is this what’s causing REST / API timeouts??

    @ppnsteve,

    It might mean you have 2 cURL versions: 1 from RedHat/CentOS repository and another version might be installed from cPanel/CloudLinux repository or even compiled from sources.

    Check:

    rpm -qa | grep -i curl

    What will be an output?

    we have same error. we change nothing since a log time (same hosting, same page, same plugins).

    Any solution?

    When will there be a fix for this? I mean a real fix that makes Analytify work with the newest curl version, instead of downgrading servers to make a plugin work.

    Kind regards, Gerske
