Opening URL to start installing….nothing happens!

  • I’ve done everything in the ‘manual’ — transferred the WordPress folder from my harddrive to the domain, then transferred all the files to the www folder (except the WordPress folder itself), and so when I type in the url of the website to start the installation, nothing happens. Just an ordinary “Sorry, Google Chrome can’t find…” etc.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • When did you register your domain name? Were you aware that it can take up to 72 hours for a newly registered domain name to fully propagate?

    I registered today. Maybe that’s the cause (even though the domain provider told me it should go relatively quick). I’ll wait a day or two, and if the same happens, I’ll post an update.
