Opening external link in new window no longer working

Hello. I have been using download monitor from a year now. But recently noticed that external link doesn’t open in new window. It was previously working. Tried all methods override template with target blank etc, used external links opener plugins but nothing worked. Please help

I have hosted download files on online drive and wants to open those in new window. But after click on download link and then timer is over. it doesn’t open in new window.
