Try deleting the 0 as it seems to populate automatically then says you need a reserve equal to or higher than the last bid. Dunno why they are not registering though.

If you want to ignore reserve then you can set it same as opening bid, else if you want to use/highlight your expectation then suggest some price higher. This plugin surely ties up reserve price with bids.

Could you post a auction url where I could see your second problem?

When I set the opening bid and reserve the same the auction said, “reserve has been met” and the next available bid was $125. I wanted the first bid to be $100. I had to just disable the plugin. The bidders were getting confused by the opening bid and couldn’t seem to complete the process to bid. It might be that the process to bid, register, confirm, then login again and bid again was just too cumbersome for them. I’m not exactly sure. It seemed like either they thought they bid but it didn’t go through, or else they thought they bid even though they didn’t complete the process. Unfortunately now I am afraid I have lost momentum with the auction.

To reduce cumbersome, I can include a pop-up notification to state that one needs to login to post bids. This will prepare bidders what to expect.
Point noted, will try to release it in next update.

    Thanks,
    Nitesh
