I was on Thesis 1.8.6 but noticed my hooks had disappeared. I upgraded to 1.8.9 but they’re still not there. I’ve disabled all other plugins with no luck. I would delete and reinstall the plugin but wasn’t sure if that would somehow overwrite the stuff I had in the hooks. I read some threads here about similar suggestions, but those didn’t work either. Any ideas? Thanks!

Can you verify for me that the action groups that you’re using are activated on OpenHook’s general settings page?

Deactivating and reactivating OpenHook should have no effect upon your hooks or settings. I never got around to implementing any automated cleanup of options, so add/remove the plugin at will to troubleshoot. ??

Hi and thanks for replying. Sorry it took me so long to get back. I did try deleting and reinstalling the plugin and it worked; I got my hooks back. Now I’m having the same problem on another site and yet the same steps didn’t work this time. In fact, even when OpenHook is installed and activated, it doesn’t show up anywhere in the menu, not under Thesis, not under Settings, nothing. So I can’t even access the action groups.

If you can provide any assistance, I would be very grateful. This is for my local chamber of commerce and the site is broken at the moment. ??

    Thanks!

Never mind – today I had the idea to try an older version of the plugin, and that brought the hooks back. Then I updated it and everything still seems fine. So I’m good, thank you! ??

    Glad to hear it, @laburke!

I’m curious, what’s the URL of the website, if you don’t mind sharing? I really don’t often hear about where OpenHook is being used at, and a Chamber of Commerce site sounds like a really interesting use!

    No, I don’t mind! It’s https://ontonagonmi.org.

I learned how to use OpenHook with Thesis years ago and even though I’m definitely no coder, I was able to arrange things how I wanted them on my various web sites. When Thesis went to 2.0, I just couldn’t grasp it and was moving on to other things by then. But I still maintain those older sites and depend on the plugin to make any needed changes.

BTW, the next day after I posted above, after upgrading OpenHook to 4.2.1, things were wonky again. So this time I’m sticking with 4.0.1. I don’t know why the original site I posted about is working with Thesis 1.8.9 and OH 4.2.1 and this one isn’t, but it’s no big deal. ??

Well, that is unusual. I plan to revisit OpenHook and get it updated with some cleaner code and maybe some new features sometime soon, but I’ve not had a whole lotta time lately to get to it. Fortunately, it seems to still be working in most cases. Phew!

That site looks great, and I’m proud OpenHook is working behind the scenes for it. Keep it up!
