    Good morning
Tempted by the good reviews of the plugin I wanted to install it on my site. I use shared hosting and have three websites on my account. Unfortunately, after activating the plugin, I get errors that are related to accessing outside of the site’s home folder, i.e. it requires me to disable open_basedir protection. Is it possible for the plug-in to work correctly with open_basedir protection active?
    Best regards.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

The only reason Shield might start to look outside the site, is perhaps to look in /tmp, maybe. But that’s only because it doesn’t have write permissions to to /wp-content/shield/. So if you can ensure we can write there, then the problem should be solved I’d guess..

what CHMOD permissions should be for the folder /wp-content/shield/

There’s no way to know what would work for your particular setup, as it will depend on how your site hosting and permissions/users are configured. If there’s another directory in there that WordPress can write to without issue, perhaps try replicating it
