Open the comments section only to paying donors/patrons?

Hello,

I have a WordPress website that currently doesn’t allow visitors to comment. I would like to eventually open the comments section, but only to paying donors/patrons.

My goal here is double: #1 to make my moderation job easier, since most spammers and trolls won’t bother to pay; #2 to incite visitors to donate.

I haven’t decided the donation platform yet, but let’s say PayPal or Patreon.

Is there a way to automate—or at least speed up—the creation of WordPress accounts for donators? Also, do you know of websites that already implement the donation policy I just described, so that I can use them as examples?
